I have been in situations, where something bad has taken place and I think to myself later how everything could have been avoided if only someone had helped me out. There is one specific embarrassing night that pops into my head. I had gotten sick and was surrounded by four of my good friends that were guys, and for some reason I decided to through up on myself. Even more embarrassing was I was on a balcony, and could have easily leaned over the side. However, when I was puking not one of my friends did anything, in fact they called someone else to come outside and get me.
However, there are not that many articles that state there being civilians nearby, that did not spring into action. Usually there is only a note made when one does something “heroic.” Sadly, in this article a cheerleader was stabbed to death, and then was stuffed into a car trunk which was then lit on fire. If only there was an authority figure, or someone nearby that would have acted out to save this young teen’s life. Two of the three male “murderers” were sentenced life in prison, and one has worked out a deal, and another accomplice will only serve 15 years. of course, to Angelia Headrick’s parents, it was a needed and obvious outcome.

Bystanders Saves kids

Sadly, in this article, 21-yearold women purposely tried to drown her two children in a nearby retention pond. Three civilians acted quickly enough to save both children from their death sentence. Luckily there was a patrol man on duty that was able to wrestle the young but feisty 21-year old and remove her from the pond. When the news crew came on the scene and talked to the police officer, he had reported that the mother openly said she was trying to kill them. She was then taken into custody and is currently waiting trail, for possible two counts of attempted murder charges. As for the two young kids, they are being taken care of by their grandparents. For the most part I think humans do want to help each other out, but most do not know what to do in such situation. However, there are many of them that are to center on their own doings that they do not even realize what is taking place. One time, when I was at the local mall in Ohio, when I walked through the entrance, and a few moments later I notices a lady having a seizer. Even worse, she was by herself on the mall couch in the center of the mall. I quickly ran over, and as soon as I got there two other people did. However one of the local workers that ran over said she noticed it from afar and was shocked no one else had stopped to help, or even took a second look. In a mall full of over a thousand people at any moment, and only three people ran to help.
